Ebay item 12/29/15
www.ebay.com/itm/111858013842
Current bid US $80,100 reserve not met 10 bids 1 day left in auction. Seller lind_duva, 40k miles.
Sellers description:
Offered for sale is a recently restored, third-owner, all original, 1959 XK 150 Drophead Coupe finished in Renaissance red with a new interior. Totally restored.
This car is number's matching -- 40,412 original miles with a rarely seen original exhaust system from the factory and dual pipes on each side. Original ashtray and Jaguar key. Engine and transmission, front and rear suspensions are rebuilt. The frame is solid, no rust, totally restored.
Joe Certo rebuilt carbs, electronic ignition -- a subtle compromise to the originality. The car does present beautifully, everything recently redone; $7,000 mechanical reboot this past summer. Fewer than 100 miles since restoration. Restored by a premiere classic Jaguar restorer with over 45 years of experience. If you are seeking an unmolested machine that has demanded the respect of all three of its owners (I am the third owner since 1987 and the second owner was a machinist that coveted this car more than his family, as I was told), then this is a vehicle to seriously consider. I left the original radio and badge on the car out of respect for this automobile.
