This 1961 Jaguar XK150 Drophead Coupe is powered by a 3.8-liter inline-six and is one of approximately 209 examples produced with a three-speed automatic transmission. The car is finished in Cotswold Blue over red leather, and equipment includes a black soft top, 16″ knock-off wire wheels, disc brakes, and adjustable seats. This XK150 is now offered in California by the selling dealer at no reserve with a clean Arizona title.
The car is finished in Cotswold Blue and was repainted some time ago. Features include a folding black soft top, a one-piece windshield, bright trim, and full-width chrome bumpers with overriders.
The 16″ wire wheels are secured with two-eared knockoffs and mounted with 6.00-16 BFGoodrich Silvertown tires showing 2018 date codes. A full-size spare is stored under the trunk floor, and braking is handled by four-wheel discs.
The adjustable seats are trimmed in red leather and are complemented by a leather-wrapped dashboard. Interior appointments include seatbelts, rear seats, a cabin heater, a defroster, wind-up side windows, and door storage pockets.
The four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 6k-rpm tachometer with an embedded clock as well as a 140-mph speedometer and an ammeter alongside gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and water temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 30k miles.
The 3.8-liter inline-six featured dual SU HD6 carburetors from the factory for a rating of 220 horsepower.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a BorgWarner three-speed automatic transmission.
