This 1959 Jaguar XK150 S roadster was built on January 9, 1959 and refurbished before being purchased by the current owner’s father in 1999. Acquired by the current owner in 2005, the car is powered by a 3.4-liter inline-six equipped with triple SU carburetors and linked with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. It has been repainted red over a black interior and features a black soft top, driving lights, fender-mounted mirrors, Smiths instrumentation, and a dual exhaust system. This XK150 is now offered on dealer consignment with manufacturer’s literature, a tonneau cover, and a Pennsylvania title listing the car as a 1958 model.
The car left the factory finished in Cream and was repainted red under prior ownership. Exterior details include a black soft top, a leaper hood ornament, driving lights, and fender-mounted side mirrors.
Chrome-finished 16” knock-off wire wheels wear two-eared spinners and are mounted with 6.00” Avon Turbospeed Mk4 tires. A painted spare wheel wrapped in an older tire is stored under the trunk floor. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs.
The cabin is trimmed in black upholstery that extends to the dashboard, transmission tunnel cover, and door panels. Bound carpets line the floors, and the shifter is topped with a wood knob.
Smiths instrumentation consists of a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5,500-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 76k miles, approximately 25k of which have been added under current ownership.
The 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six is equipped with triple SU carburetors and a dual exhaust system with polished finishers.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with electrically-actuated overdrive.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate lists factory colors, equipment, and identification numbers and indicates that the car was dispatched to New York on January 22, 1959.
The Pennsylvania title lists “Antique Vehicle” under the brands section.
