This car is mentioned in an article in the British magazine "Thoroughbred and Classic Cars" of May 1992. It is stated that the car was imported to Australia from the U.S.A and a photo shows that it was in a terrible state. It was thought to be the earliest L.H.D drophead coupe.

I am the present owner of 677003 and it is in Brisbane Australia.
It has been restored and has driven 7,000 miles on recent rally's.
It is now white [cream] with black top.
Information on its past history would be welcome, and greatly appreciated.

Records show former keeper as Ivan Stephens of Doncaster Victoria. A g/box and body number would be interesting. 001 is known but 002 & 004 are missing !!

I bought this car from my pal and confidant Terry Larson in the 90s?... Sight unseen. "Dry un-restored DHC out of New Mexico." When I went to his place to pick it up, first thing I told Terry, " You looked at its VIN?" as far as I was concerned it was an old abandoned DRY 120DHC, but interesting VIN and had some modifications that were odd and raised a passed race history question. Certainly a great candidate for restoration. I heard there was a complaint about its condition when i exported it to Australia, But I wish every Jag body that I ever owned was in that solid condition. every thing else is easy...

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
