I am the second owner of this car, being the nephew of the original owner. I was 11 when I first rode in the car in June, 1956. The car is original and competes in Preservation Class in JCNA. The car has 53,000 original miles. Original engine was rebuilt to factory specifications by XKs Unlimited of San Luis Obispo, California in 2003.

My Jaguar (a '61 E-Type) was first delivered in Scott City, Kansas, another small town about 100 miles from Stafford. Jaguars cannot have been that common in that part of the world in the 50's or early 60's.

Roger, an interesting name, since that's mine, too. The legal counsel to the Jaguar Club of North America lives in Great Bend, Kansas, about 30 miles from Stafford. You're right, there weren't many Jags in Kansas at that time. Mine was the first English sports car in the county, ever. Are you still in the Midwest?

Hi Roger, I've actually been trying to find out more about my car, but anytime I find anyone with a lead, it goes cold. I live up in the Pacific Northwest...a couple of people remember the car but no one wants to talk about it.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
