Description
You are bidding on a Jaguar XK140 roadster that has been modified for vintage racing. It may be road legal depending on your state. It is fast and exhilarating to drive. The paint has many small chips particularly on the lower half of the front of the car. The paint shines nicely. This car has no roof or side-curtains. The car looks like what it is; a handsome old race car that still goes like the dickens.

Comments

1. Powerful¸ handsome Jaguar for road or track use.
2. Many performance upgrades including Tivvi Shenton engine.
3. JE Pistons¸ Racing Cams¸ Racing Clutch.
4. Rods and crank shot-peened and stress relieved.
5. Aluminum radiator and oil cooler.
6. Racing fuel cell and large external filler cap.
7. Traditional British Racing Green with tan interior.
8. Speed with style.

This Jaguar has been raced in vintage events. Powerful and handsome, it wears its competition history proudly and makes a striking appearance on road or track.

I have owned car since May 2009. Used regularly. Car is heavily, and beautifully!, modified for racing and I would like to find more of its past history: owners, details of work carried out, races entered and won.

Although this model began in October 1954 this chassis was built in June 1956

Agreed Peter, the Chassis # corresponds to a '56 car. Do you have any other information on the car?

No history known here before it cropped up on e-Bay in November 2005 in Hollywood California
