This 1960 Jaguar XK150 roadster has spent 49 years in the care of its current owner, and it was the subject of a refurbishment approximately seven years ago. The car wears a repaint in red, and it is powered by a replacement Jaguar inline-six that is said to displace 3.8 liters. Shifting is through a four-speed manual transmission, and refurbishment work also included reupholstering the cabin in red leather and replacing the black convertible soft top. Additional equipment includes 16″ wire wheels, knock-off hubs, disc brakes, EZ Electric power steering, fog lights, and adjustable seats. This XK150 is now offered on dealer consignment in Canada with British Columbia registration.

The car wears a repaint in red and features a replacement black soft top, a one-piece windshield, fog lights, bright trim, and full-width chrome bumpers with overriders. Refurbishment work also included re-chroming the exterior trim.

The 16″ wire wheels have knock-off hubs and are mounted with Michelin X Radial tires tires, and a full-size spare is stored under the trunk floor. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs, and the car is equipped with EZ Electric power steering.

The adjustable seats have been reupholstered in red leather along with matching seatbelts, and the cabin features a leather-wrapped dashboard, a cabin heater, a defroster, wind-up side windows, door storage pockets, and a folding rear bulkhead.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 6k-rpm tachometer, an inset clock, a 140-mph speedometer, and an ammeter alongside gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and water temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 7k miles, and total mileage is unknown.

The replacement Jaguar inline-six is said to displace 3.8 liters. The reproduction cowl tag lists the engine number as 7B57543-9.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive.

The car is registered in British Columbia, Canada, using the chassis number listed.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
