Long term family ownership, Mechanics and interior were fully restored by passionate owner. (see detailed link to extended photos). He elected not to have the exterior painted when restoring the car to keep the family history intact and use the car without concern of rock chips (see detailed video). The extensive photos show the monetary commitment but the time and energy that went into this car is truly immense and it shows.
Engine & Transmission: The car runs strong and 3.4 liter 6 cylinder engine is exceptionally smooth. It delivers power whenever you want it. The 4-speed manual transmission shifts very smoothly, this allows the car to cruise at speed comfortably. The underside of the car is clean (see detailed restoration photos). The front brakes have been updated with Wilwood disc brakes. The restored radiator has a temperature cooling fan added to ensure there is never any overheating. The owner had a great passion for this car. All mechanicals have been refurbished or replaced during the restoration.
Body: The body panels are all solid with no rust. The car has a patina which is documented it in detail in the video. New soft top and tonneau cover. The trunk is extremely clean with all the tools and spotless spare tire well. The chrome is in good shape with some pitting. One small rock chip in the windshield (see photo). The car has never been hit and always kept in a garage.
Interior: The interior is new. All doors are excellent. The dash and instruments all work great. The odometer has turned over. New carpet throughout. Updated Jaguar steering wheel and dash panel.
Summary: This Jaguar XK 150 has been in the family since 1964 years and in a passionate Jaguar enthusiast’s hands since 2017. Mechanically solid for use, this wonderful example of a classic Jaguar XK 150 is in exceptional condition and perfect for cruising and taking to car shows. A true labor of love with great attention to detail. The best kind of car to buy in my opinion. It’s an enormous benefit to have someone take on a project of this magnitude with a detailed eye. The next owner is way ahead with the love this car has received over the years. A joy to own and drive. Nice example of a Jaguar XK 150.
