White exterior, red interior automatic. Excellent appearance, apart from red colored rear fender welting.
Spotted on eBay: www.ebay.com/itm/1957-Jaguar-XK-COUPE-/322446497459.
Advertised with MC engine, though valve covers don't have "C" badging and cylinder head unpainted.

This 1957 XK140M Fixed Head Coupe, presents beautifully in Brilliant White over a striking red leather interior. It is a numbers-matching car with its original 3.4L engine still in place, paired to the factory automatic transmission with the seldom-seen push button “speed hold” feature. Showing just 8,279 miles on the odometer (TMU), this XK140M has benefited from a major round of servicing in 2018 totaling $17,769, with full receipts accompanying the car.
The exterior is finished in Brilliant White and shows very well. The body is nice and straight, with solid panels and good overall fitment. Brightwork and trim present cleanly, and the stainless exhaust system, installed as part of the 2018 service, gleams underneath. Glass remains clear, and the car presents as a handsome, elegant example that captures the classic Jaguar presence perfectly.
Inside, the red leather interior complements the white body beautifully. Seats, door panels, and carpets present in nice condition, showing well throughout. The wood dash has good character though it would benefit from refinishing to bring it up to the level of the rest of the interior. The instrumentation is largely functional, though the tachometer is currently inoperative. A seat belt kit was installed in 2018, and all switchgear and details retain the car's authentic period feel.
Under the hood, the numbers-matching 3.4L inline six (Engine #G7889-8) remains in place, complete with its standard series head and twin SU carburetors. In 2018, the car received extensive mechanical attention to ensure reliability and drivability. This included a transmission rebuild with new torque converter, fresh motor and transmission mounts, a new fuel pump, tank, and sending unit, carburetor overhaul, generator rebuild, brake master replacement, new bushings, alignment, rebuilt anti-creep solenoid, new regulator, valve cover gaskets, fresh ignition components, and more. The comprehensive receipts detail every item addressed and accompany the car in full. The result is a drivetrain that starts easily, idles smoothly, and runs beautifully.
On the road, this XK140M drives very well. The rebuilt automatic transmission shifts smoothly, the rebuilt braking system provides confident stopping, and the refreshed suspension and bushings allow the car to track straight and handle properly. The engine pulls strongly, delivering the smooth power these XK-series cars are known for. The car feels well-sorted and ready for regular enjoyment.
