This example was restored in the early 2000s and has been very well maintained ever since. Where many were imported from America, this one is of European origin since it was delivered in 56 in the Netherlands to a Ferrari importer. It comes out of a considerable batch of work at the end of 2022, and is ready for new adventures.

History:
This car is a third hand. This Jaguar was delivered new in 1956 to the Ferrari importer in the Netherlands. Its second owner acquired it in 1983, still in the Netherlands. The car has belonged to a French collector since 2009.
State :
Exterior: The bodywork is in excellent general condition, carefully restored 20 years ago. The chrome has also been restored. The spoked rims are new, as is the soft top.
Interior: The upholstery is nicely patinated. The walnut dashboard is in excellent condition. The electrical harness was obviously redone during the restoration, the wiring is modern. All on-board instruments are functional.
Mechanical: The engine underwent a complete overhaul in 2011. It is in excellent working condition. The car starts and runs well both hot and cold. The car revs well and the gear changes are good. The MOSS box is pleasant and fluid. Reports are well synchronized. The road handling of this XK140 is very satisfactory and the disc brakes make the car safer.
Chassis and underpinnings: The underpinnings are sound, visibly without signs of accident.
