is.In fact it has had about $10,000 of service work over last few years to make it completly road worthy. It drives extremely well and tight. This xk140 is no sloopy driver!

Panel and door fit is as per factory!

Comes with rare and hard to find original boot cover and tonneau.

Comes in rare but desirable original dark blue over red. Amazingly it is a very dry car with surperb original chassis without the rust problem so many have encountered...Much work completed including brakes, tire, stainless exhaust, front suspension rebuilt etc.

This was XK, built in 1957, in Colorado USA. It was a rock-hard car that only required minimal welding. Once completely dismantled, the body turned out to be even better than expected. The professionals at Autobeitserij Holland put the body in the bath to be stripped. The paintwork is stripped in a sodium hydroxide bath at a temperature of approximately 80° Celsius. During the stripping in this bath, all paint, sealant, tectyl and filler are dissolved. The average treatment time is approximately 3 days. The stripping of paint etc., is done in a phosphoric acid bath at approximately 50° Celsius. The most important properties of phosphoric acid are that it neutralizes sodium hydroxide and after it has dried, it has become solid. So it never becomes liquid again. Finally, a KTL coating was applied to optimally protect the stripped body of the Jaguar against rust. The XK was so good in terms of bodywork that Autobeitserij made a special video of it and also exhibited the car at a classic car fair. The owner couldn’t have wished for a better start to a complete restoration, we think.

The owner/former garage owner definitely did not want to rush it and, just like back then with the 190 SL, took all the time to get the perfect XK 140. Local companies, known to him for decades, were hired to show their specialism in engine overhaul, sheet metal- and paint work. Furthermore, the man with two right hands did everything himself. He had his hands on every nut and bolt and everything was finished down to the smallest detail. The car not only had to score high in terms of finishing touch, but of course also in terms of reliability, because the intention was to explore Europe with this beautiful classic. And that is what happened.

The Pacific Blue XK was registered in the Netherlands on 13 January 2012, and the first foreign trips were made that year. And they were excellent, because the XK seems to have been made for this. With some adjustments (see also the options section) to improve the comfort. For example, beautiful comfort seats were installed so that driving for hours is no longer a struggle. By the way, the original, restored, reupholstered and then never used seats are present. These are of course supplied with the car to keep everything original. The finish of the beautiful red leather can also be called excellent. For this, the owner went to England especially to give the best specialist in upholstery of classic Jaguars the order to make everything perfect and as original as possible.

So we are talking about a thoroughly reliable and truly sublime driving Jaguar XK 140 DHC 3.4 in the much sought-after SE version. Checking the available original Heritage Certificate showed that the car is completely original. All numbers of body, chassis, engine and cylinder head etc. are matching. Also, the paint and interior color are exactly as the car left the factory. All things that are the well-known icing on the cake for the true enthusiast and connoisseur.
