After importing the XK150 to Australia in July 2011 from Chicago where it had been for around 12 years, we revitalized and restored a number of items. The white walled 6.50,16's Firestones were discarded, even though they were basically unused, but the wrong size should be 6.00.16's. A new crown wheel and pinion, straighten the axles and numerous electrical issues. Amazing now to not have diff whine accompaniment and to hear the great exhaust note which is a major incentive to get out on the highway and enjoy the experience.

My 1960 Jaguar XK150 3.4 is unforgettable in luxury and performance. Manual overdrive, Stunning prize winning appearance, older, body off the chassis restoration now with just the right amount of patina. Photo records of restoration, handbook and tools.
This 3.4 Litre XK150 Fixed Head Coupe is finished in Black with Burgundy interior trim and sitting on sparkling chrome wire wheels presents very well. According to the Heritage Trust Certificate, this XK150 was Built on the 22nd July 1960, and then dispatched on the 18th August 1960 for delivery new in the UK by Henly's of London. The XK150 remained in the UK where it was subsequently restored, before emigrating to the United States via Germany, finally being imported into Australia in 2011. The file accompanying the Jaguar includes a copy of the Vehicle Import Approval, workshop manual, owners handbook and various invoices for service and repair work carried out in Australia since 2011. Photographs document the Jaguar at various stages of the comprehensive bare metal respray and re-trim. This XK150 FHC has both great period performance and the classic styling which Jaguars are renowned for, with their 3.4 litre DOHC engine, factory rated at 190 BHP mated to the 4-speed manual gearbox with Overdrive, providing wonderfully smooth power throughout the range. The Jaguar is at home comfortably cruising the highways or winding its way through the hills. The power assisted 4 wheel disc brakes provide reliable and predictable stopping power, whilst the rack and pinion steering provides precise steering.
