Car to be at auction 8/21
www.luckyoldcar.com/2021-fall-classic/
Location: Tacoma, Washington 98445
Condition: Good
Seller’s Description:1960 Jaguar XK150 Fixed Head Coupe
Original black plate Southern California survivor.
Fabulous time-capsule example from Long Beach. Still has the original dealer’s license plate frames. Low original miles. 3.8-liter motor runs well. Wonderful platform to do a partial or full restoration to. The patina is amazing and the car is rock-solid throughout. Lovely interior, “great bones” as they would say.
Finding one of these in this condition is harder than dating a woman like Jennifer Aniston. It’s just not likely. The fabulous cars were the backbone of Jaguar. The XK series won LeMans multiple times. These coupes are the rarest iteration of the series. The 3.8 the most desirable motor and the 150 the most refined of the entire series. Truly one of the most iconic sportscars of all time. Parts and service still attainable. The dependable power plant refined over 5 decades.
Go to where the legend began - the penultimate British luxury sportscar that started a revolution.

Spring Classic 2026 Lot Listings › Lot #141 - 1960 Jaguar XK 150 Coupe
This spectacular vehicle was built late in the production run of the XK150’s final year (which ended in October of 1960). As a result it was fitted with four-wheel Dunlop 12-inch disc brakes and the very desirable, more powerful 3.8 liter version of the iconic engine, which had previously only been used in the big Mark IX saloon and was also ticketed for the coming XKE. It is mated to the sturdy factory-spec Borg-Warner automatic transmission.
This car has just received a bare-metal repaint in its original black, and the result is stunning. At the same time, new rubber window seals front and rear and a new headliner were installed.
The interior upholstery is an older restoration in the factory-correct black leather. The vintage wooden steering wheel was a dealer option when the car was new, but also could have been fitted subsequently. It’s a great look; these wheels are coveted today.
A few subtle concessions to the passage of time have made the car even more drivable — the installation of electronic ignition and a new aluminum radiator core will increase the new owner’s driving pleasure, as will the brand-new Cornell Clipper tires fitted to those classic 16-inch wire wheels.
This XK150 has been the beneficiary of a careful, step-by-step recommissioning that has taken it to new levels of beauty and drivability. It’s one of the nicest examples you’ll see on the market.

Lot #249284
This 1959 Jaguar XK150 fixed-head coupe reportedly remained with a prior owner for approximately four decades, and it is finished in black over black leather. The car is powered by a 3.8-liter inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and equipment includes 16″ wire wheels, disc brakes, a Moto-Lita steering wheel, and adjustable seats. This XK150 was acquired by the selling dealer in 2025 and is now offered in Washington with the Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, black California license plates, a tool kit, and a clean Arizona title, listing it as a 1960 model year.
The car is finished in black and was repainted under prior ownership. Features include a one-piece windshield, bright trim, and full-width chrome bumpers with overriders. Black California license plates are fitted.
The 16″ wire wheels are mounted with 6.00-18 LeMans tires. A full-size spare is stored under the trunk floor, and braking is handled by four-wheel discs.
The adjustable seats are trimmed in black leather and are complemented by a leather-wrapped dashboard. Replacement carpets have been installed, and interior appointments include a cabin heater, a defroster, wind-up side windows, door storage pockets, and a folding rear bulkhead.
The three-spoke Moto-Lita steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 6k-rpm tachometer with an embedded clock as well as a 140-mph speedometer and an ammeter alongside gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and water temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 15k miles. The seller states the mileage is not accurate, and total mileage is unknown.
The 3.8-liter inline-six featured dual SU HD6 carburetors from the factory for a rating of 220 horsepower. A PerTronix Flamethrower ignition coil is installed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a BorgWarner three-speed automatic transmission.
A copy of the Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate is viewable above, and it lists the factory colors, serial numbers, and a build date of August 28, 1959.
